01 May as the Church celebrated feast of St. Joseph the worker, and the nation the Labors’ day special prayers are organized for the domestic staff of our convents of our congregation.
In Hatigaon a special prayer service was offered for them in gratitude for all what they are doing for us in various capacities. The working boys and girls proceeded to the Alter with lighted candles which they offered at the feet of Jesus symbolically. The prayer was organized in Hindi and through the prayer we interceded for their own intentions, good health, for their family members and for good future. After the prayer, the sisters served them dinner which was prepared by the Junior sisters and senior sisters.

The Feast of Mary Help of Christians, a feast very dear to MSMHCs was celebrated with great pomp and show on 24 May 2013 in all our houses and centers. In the Generalate in Hatigaon the celebration began on 23 May with a very meaningful Eucharistic Adoration in thanksgiving to God for the gift of his Mother and all the graces and blessings we have received through her intercession.
In her good night message at 8.30 p.m. Sr. Philomena Mathew, the Superior General exhorted the sisters to take shelter under her blue mantle and imitate her virtues and holiness. Whatever we ask of her as an individual or as a congregation will be granted and our dear founder entrusted our congregation in her maternal care so that all his daughters trust in her and follow her example of self-giving, she added.
A day of study on the Virtuous profile of Mons. Ferrando in the light of the positio - One day convention was held on the virtuous profile of Bishop Stephen Ferrando sdb, on the 13th April 2013 at Parish cum Oratory Hall in Via St. Sebastian, Rossiglione, Italy. The Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre received the prestigious "Best Institution National Award' on 06 February 2013. Sr. Catheine Joseph, Provincial of Shillong province and the president of the Institution received the award on behalf of the center from the Honourable President of India Sri Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi on 06 February 2013.
The center is committed to create an inclusive society for persons with disabilities especially with hearing and speech impairment. Established in 1996, the center is one of the lead agencies in the North East for addressing such issues and it is focussed on early intervention, education, rehabilitation, vocational training, human resource development to empower persons with haring and speech impairment.
Little Flower School, Hatigaon turned into silver this year. A solemn inauguration of the Jubilee Year was held at the School on 09 February 2013 in an exuberant style. Fr. V.M. Thomas sdb, the provincial of Guwahati province declared the Jubilee Year opened as the students, teachers, parents and management broke into applause.

WAC (Women Association of Catechesis): The day 08 March 2013, was marked and recorded in the history of the Congregation, as we inaugurated the Women Association for Catechesis (WAC), in the MSMHC Generalate Hatigaon, at 10.30 a.m. with the hoisting of WAC flag by Mother Philomena Mathew the Chief Guest of the day, and the meaningful Bible Procession led by her from the lawn to the Conference hall.
A short felicitation was followed immediately to the Chief Guest, Guest of honor Dr. Naomi Lyngdoh Nonglait and to all the General and Provincial Councilors. MSMHC New Presence at Arenzano, Genova, Italy (24th April 2013) 24th April was a very special day for our Congregation specially to the Italian Delegation as we made our new presence at Arenzano, Genova to collaborate with the Petriene Sisters .
Though Srs. Bridget Jacob, Delegate Superior, Helen Kandulna and Ausilia Sangma had already join the Petriene Community there on 20th April, the official inauguration took place on 24thApril at 4:00pm with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by archpriest Don Mario of Genova, Pegli. At the start of the Holy Mass Mother Edvige, the Superior General of the Congregation of Sisters of Petriene , Sampierderena, gave a short introduction during which she welcomed those present for the function specially our sisters who came from various communities in Italy.
North East Level Training and Orientation on Alcoholism and the AA Way of Recovery: A four day North East Level Training and Orientation on Alcoholism and the AA Way of Recovery was organized by Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI), Borjar, Guwahati, from 2nd to 5th April, 2013. The training was carried out in collaboration with Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) India.
The 70 participants comprises of 30 MSMHC from various provinces and the AA fellowship from Nagaland, Assam and Mizoram who represent the North East Region. The program was organized in an effort to create more awareness on Alcoholism and to pass on the message of Alcoholic anonymous as the way to recovery. New Superiors Animation 2013: The animation programme for the newly appointed New superior’s was held from 6th April to 12th April 2013, at Little Flower convent, Hatigaon, Assam. There were 24 participants from the five provinces of Shillong, Tinsukia, Tezpur, Kolkota and Bangalore.
The Inaugural message was given by Rev. Sr. Philomena Mathew, the Superior General. She stressed on the need to have a clear goal and vision of the congregation which will enable the individual to keep the charism alive in the community. The local community is the basic cell of the congregation and it is here that every superior is called to give life and be at the service of the members. Inter- Province Finance Committee Meet - 09 & 10 March 2013 Provincial Economers of all the provinces with their Finance Committee members had their meeting at Hatigaon on 09 and 10 March 2013 organized by Sr. Ancila Jose the Economer General. Addressing the Sisters Mother presented before the assembly the present concerns with regard to financial management especially the lack of efficiency in managing the finance and wealth under our care, hence we grow as dependant persons and not self-reliant.

39 Junior sisters of Hatigaon along with Sr. Asha Mao their Assistant participated in the 5th Exposure programme organized by the archdiocese of Guwahati. The programme which was entitled as “Faith Sharing Exprosure Programme” was organized in Mallangkhona village from 25 February to 02 March 2013. Along with Fr. Varghese Kizhakevely, the vicar general of the archdiocese of Guwahati a team of MSMHC sisters – Sr. Maria Ali Thapa, Sr. Maria Paula Marak and Sr. Regina Marim organized the entire programme very successfully. The Postulator for the cause of the canonization of Bishop Stephen Ferrando Fr. P.L. Luigi Kamerone and his companion Mr. Ubertho Stephano visited MSMHC Generalate at Hatigaon on 12 February 2013. Along with him there were a number of friends and relatives of Bishop Marrango who had come down to India to participate in the closing ceremony of the diocesan process for the canonization of Bishop Orestes Marango. All of them were welcomed warmly with songs and traditional gamachas and japis.
Fr. Luigi Kamerone, who is very friendly and active person, urged the sisters to live a life of holiness so that the process of canonization could move faster.
