“Commit your ways to the Lord, put your trust in Him and let Him act."
(Psalm 37:5)

My dear sisters,

First of all I thank you for the trust you have placed in me and the team. I am grateful to each of you my dear sisters, Novices, Postulants and aspirants for the good wishes and payers you offered for me and the team. We count on your continued prayers, co-operation and support.

We are greatly indebted to Sr. Jane Mary Tadathil, Sr. Cresentia Minj Sr. Teresina Immatty, Sr. Ann Vellachery,Sr.Adyln Mary Kyllep and Sr. Germina kindo, for their dedicated service to the province as provincial,Vice-provincial and councilors for the past four years. Sincere thanks to Sr. Anne Jose who served the province as provincial bursar for three years, Sr. Sheeja Rose Antony who rendered her service initially as  provincial secretary and then as provincial bursar and Sr. Merilla Murmu for her service as the provincial secretary. May God bless and reward their hard work and selfless sacrifices. May He shower on them His love and graces in abundance as they get engaged in their new mission.

My dear sisters, we have entered in to the New Year 2010 and the Lord calls us all to a renewed and deeper commitment to Him. The threshold of the New Year is a great time for us to reflect and rejoice over the progress of the past year while also learning from the set backs and mistakes.  It is also a time to look forward with new hopes and plans. One key to succeeding in the New Year is to plan ahead. But planning alone is not enough. We need to put our future in God’s hand trusting Him to work things out.

If we not only make plans but also commit those plans to Him, He promises to help bring our plans to completion. Of course this is provided when our plans are within the scope of what He knows as best for us and others involved. So the first step is to check our plans with Him or better get our plans from Him. Let us open our mind to God and He will put His thoughts there. He loves us and has our best interests at heart. He says, “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know”. With God all things are possible. So dear sisters, let us do our best asking God for direction as we plan and prepare for the year we have just stepped into and commit our needs to Him in prayer. Continue to seek His help through out the year and watch Him guide, provide and take care of us. Don’t waste time reliving the pain of past mistakes and wrong decisions as it only saps our power to do what we can today. We can’t change the past, but the future is what we make of it, starting right now. So take full advantage of the present, taking God as your closest friend and guide.

My dear sisters, I would like to inform you that in spite of every effort made to be freed from my duty in the hospital, I have to continue it for four more months. So I am not able to be available for you completely during these four months. But I assure you to be at your service as much as possible for me. In my absence from the provincial house to complete my term of duty in the hospital, kindly approach and contact Sr. Elsy Mathew the vice- provincial.

Let us take to heart the motto of the congregation for the year 2010 “Be positive in your thoughts and deeds” As we live our day today life in the community, in our field of apostolate, in our interaction with others let us be reminded of this Motto. When we start being positive in our thoughts and deeds we will find life happy, meaningful and worth living.  We will find ourselves and others lovable. Dear sisters let us live this motto and be transformed unto the likeness of Jesus day by day.

“Foster Family Spirit” is the vision the province as a whole will strive to achieve during these four years. In order to achieve this vision we shall practice consciously the following virtues.
1.   Accept and appreciate self and others
2.   Be compassionate and forgiving.
3.   Be committed to the mission
4.   Cultivate the spirit of belongingness and trust.

In the year 2010 as we live the motto of the congregation “Be positive in your thoughts and deeds” let us make conscious effort precisely to accept and appreciate self and others which will lead to foster family spirit.

"BE POSITIVE IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND DEEDS BY ACCEPTING AND APPRECIATING SELF AND OTHERS WHICH WILL LEAD TO FOSTER FAMILY SPIRIT
