This year, MSMHC Generalate, Hatigaon celebrated the golden and silver jubilee of 41 Sisters. Welcoming the august assembly gathered for the solemn Eucharistic celebration on 1 September, Sr. Philomena Mathew, the Superior General introduced the day’s celebration as one of the most important events in religious life. She described jubilee of religious life as a time to celebrate God’s love and fidelity, a celebration of one’s personal salvation history, a reciprocal spousal love, a community living and of apostolic fruitfulness.
Archbishop John Moolachira of Guwahati Archdiocese, at start of the Eucharist congratulated the seven golden and thirty-four silver jubilarians for being a source of blessing to the whole church. He invited the assembly gathered to thank the Lord for the Jubilarians and to implore God’s blessings upon them and their ministry.
The days of coming together helped the Jubilarians to remember with gratitude the numerous blessings of the past. It was an occasion to become aware of the graces of God bestowed on them and to be renewed of their trust in His faithful love.
