Inauguration and blessing of the new Ferrando Provincial House, Guwahati

He makes all things beautiful in His time (Eccl. 3.11)”
8 September 2022 is a significant day for the MSMHC Guwahati Province. With deep sentiments of gratitude to God the Almighty for the manifold blessings showered upon Ferrando Province Guwahati, the sisters from far and wide gathered together on the occasion of the inauguration and blessing of the new Provincial House on the day specially dedicated to our blessed Mother.
Sr. Philomena Mathew, Superior General, Inaugurated the house by cutting the ribbon in the presence of many fathers, sisters, friends and well-wishers. While Archbishop John Moolachira DD blessed the Provincial house and celebrated the Holy Eucharist.
Sr. Lisa Chetri, the provincial superior in her welcome speech recalled; “the birth of Ferrando Province was in the 75th year of the congregation's foundation, in 2017 and in the same city of its own birth is significant. The new province under the able leadership of Rev Sr. Mary Thadavanal the first provincial and former Superior General shared the same reality of not having a base of its own to begin to function as a province as was the case of the congregation. It was a grace and a challenge. A grace, because we had the opportunity to live in the spirit of the founding days, totally dependent on God and open to His ways. A challenge, because it called for deep faith to move out of all securities and move forward in absolute faith in the one who called, to be committed to him totally, continuing his mission wholeheartedly.” She also thanked Superior General and her Councillors for their understanding, care and constant assistance.
On this blessed day she acknowledges the constant assistance of the Almighty God manifested through many generous and good people who contributed to the realization of the completion of this house. She stressed that, “We owe a debt of gratitude to Archbishop John Moolachira and late Fr. Varghese Kizhakevely, the then VG of the Archdiocese of Guwahati who was instrumental in getting financial aid from the funding agencies.”
The solemn occasion was graced by the presence of Superior General, General Councilors, all the provincials and their councilors.  It was indeed a day full of blessings and thanks giving.
